When I run I run on the balls of my feet which is part is probably better for you than constantly pounding on your heels.<br /><br />However, I am a sprinter and to decrease surface area and the amount of time you are actually making contact with the track, running on the balls of your feet is a requirement.<br /><br />So, because I have been running on my toes for son long, I do it when I run longer distances as well.
